MHS Memorabilia

Esther Sheets and Ardeth Woods will assemble memorabilia at the luncheon.  We are encouraging alumni and their families to consider giving any items they have saved from their time at Molalla High School to the Molalla Historical Society which maintains a permanent collection.  A visit to the Historical Society at their location in Molalla is a must.  Many items from the old high school building have been preserved and are on display.

The classes from 1927 through 1970 are invited to the annual Molalla Alumni Luncheon.  It will be held April 28, 2007, 12:00 Noon, Lunch served at 1:00

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

In the envelope for this year’s luncheon we have included the proposed bylaws for the Molalla Alumni Scholarship Fund.  The current committee consisting of Joel Daniels, Chr., Joan Deardorff, Sec., Roger Engle, Treas, Bev Ferguson and Ardeth Woods, has prepared this document and will be presenting it to the Alumni at the Spring Luncheon for ratification.  The committee is very pleased to announce the receipt of $25,000 from Richard (class of 1946) and Mary Marquardt to establish a fund in their names.  In addition, donations of over $5,000 were received in 2006 bringing the total of our fund to $85,822.70.  We have that money invested primarily in a CD and we have had an investment committee headed by Mitch Magenheimer ‘96 working on a more permanent investment strategy to maximize our return for the awarding of annual scholarships.  The committee is planning to award $7,000 in scholarships this spring.  The committee would like to encourage you to remember the Alumni Scholarship Fund in your estate planning.  It is their intention to honor any gift or bequest of $10,000 or more by establishing a fund in that person’s name and awarding a named scholarship.  Please consider making a donation to the fund as you complete and mail your registration for the luncheon.  Another way you can give is when the basket is passed during the luncheon (over $1,300 was collected last year)!

Fill out this form and get it in the mail by April 18, 2007.
