A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, in Burns Mortuary in Hermiston for Cole W. Cordray, who died April 18 at age 64.

Cole W. Cordray was born July 26, 1943, in Coquille and moved to Molalla in 1956. He graduated from Molalla High School and moved to Portland in 1960. He served in the Air Force for 10 years, including two tours in the Vietnam War. In 1973, he moved to Tigard, where he was a police officer for the Tigard Police Department and a truck driver for Arrow Transportation. He then was a civilian security guard for the Umatilla Army Depot for 25 years, moving to Hermiston in 1993. In 1992, he married Jeanette Olson New.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Charlotte and Geri; son, Joseph; stepdaughters, Donna New and Karen Schenck; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His son Michael died in 1999.
