Glade Plummer Friton


Glade Plummer Friton died May 20, 2012 in Powers, Ore. He was 74.

Glade was born in Canby to Lowe Friton and Florence Plummer, and was raised in Molalla.

He was survived by his six children, Mike, Cindy, Andy, Debbie, Tina, and Glade Jr. (“Chipper”); 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his long-time companion Darleen Durham and his former wives, Judy and Melody.

Glade started Molalla Masonry in 1963, a thriving business now owned and operated by his son Andy.

Glade retired from the business in 2000, moving to Christmas Valley, Ore. Over his life, he owned several businesses and rental properties from Newport to Christmas Valley, and Molalla. His hobbies included fishing and camping, and spending time with his close family and friends. Glade was an honest, hard-working business man, and he was a well-respected person in the community.

A memorial service for Glade will be held from 1 to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 23 at his son Andy’s house at 30004 S. Hwy. 213 in Molalla.
