Lucille Antonia Kokel-Pitman


Lucille Antonia Kokel-Pitman died on Jan. 5, 2013 at Ashley Manor Care Center in Redmond. She was 92.

Lucille was born Nov. 5, 1920, in Scotts Mills and was raised in the Molalla area. She made her home in Silverton and moved to Redmond in 1998.

Lucille spent many years working for the State of Oregon in Salem. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, the Old Time Fiddlers and dancing at the Elks Lodge with Darcy.

First and foremost she was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Lucille is survived by her husband, Darcy Pitman, formerly of Molalla; son, Leonard Kokel, Coos Bay; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Kokel; son, Aulden Kokel; and great-grandson, Brigham Lee Kokel.

Memorial services will be held in Silverton in April. Family and friends will be notified of details.
