Arlene Clair (McKinney) Potter

HILLSBORO — Arlene Clair Potter, 67, of Hillsboro died Friday, May 6, 2011, at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro with her family by her side after many years of illness. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Potter was born July 2, 1943, in Oregon City, one of two children born to Joseph D. and Lorraine (Carlson) McKinney. She was raised in Mulino and received her education in the Molalla school district, graduating from Molalla High School with the Class of 1961.

She met her husband, Dennis Potter, while on a summer visit at her aunt’s house in Hermiston. They courted for three months and were married in Sept. 1961. Following their marriage they made their home in Mikkalo until 1966, when they moved to Hermiston. In 1973 they moved to Hillsboro, were they have lived since. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her loving husband Dennis at the family home; children Kathy Huntington of Hillsboro and Jeff Potter of Boise, Idaho; four siblings; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
