Mark C. Rostvold

Mark C. Rostvold, 82, passed away in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 31st 2023. Born to Theodore and Ellen Rostvold, on April 23rd, 1941, Mark grew up on the family farm in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. He graduated from Molalla High School and Oregon State University where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. While at Oregon State, Mark met his lifelong partner, Evie. Mark and Evie married on July 16th, 1966 in Portland, Oregon and shared 56 years of marriage. In 1975, they were blessed with their son, McClain.

After college, Mark served 4 years in the Army Reserves while he began his career with John Deere and Company. With the company, Mark and Evie moved numerous times before settling in Moline, Illinois. In 2001, Mark retired as Senior Vice President of the Commercial and Consumer Equipment Division. Over Mark’s 37-year career with Deere, he met many lifelong friends and business partners. He travelled all over the world for his career while also enjoying many trips with his family. Over the course of his life, Mark visited all 50 states and travelled to more than 40 countries.

As an avid runner, Mark completed 14 marathons. He shared a passion for the outdoors, which included many trips pheasant hunting and fishing with his friends and McClain. In 1984, Mark and Evie purchased a cabin on Balsam Lake in Wisconsin. Mark spent as much time as he could at the lake enjoying snowmobiling, boating and making memories with great friends. Mark and Evie spent much of their retired years in Las Vegas, Nevada while also continuing to travel throughout the United States. They enjoyed all that Las Vegas has to offer, including attending the National Finals Rodeo and Professional Bull Riding Championships each year. Mark was an avid sports fan and enjoyed sports betting, watching the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR racing and the Las Vegas Golden Knights. He had an outrageous sense of humor and loved sharing stories with friends over a few drinks.

Mark was proceeded in death by his parents, Theodore and Ellen (Clemens) Rostvold and his sister, Julie Gravley. He leaves behind his wife Evie, son McClain and wife Erica, and his faithful Black Labrador, Rookie.
