Clifford Snider, former chief of Chinook Nation and a resident of Clackamas, died Saturday, Dec. 7, at the age of 87. He was born June 29, 1926, in Portland to Earnest and Alice Snider.

After attending Milwaukie High School and Oregon State University, he became a local teacher and coach.

He is survived by: his wife, Jeanine Snider; daughter, Jolyn Manchester; and grandson, Sam Kotwicki.

A public memorial service will be held at Alder Creek Middle School, 13801 S.E. Webster Road, Milwaukie, Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions for Chinook recognition may be sent to Jolyn Manchester, 21585 NE Willow Glenn Road, Fairview OR 97024.

Cliff Snider

MILWAUKIE — Cliff Snider, honorary chief of all the Chinook, died Dec. 7, 2013, in Happy Valley, Ore.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m. at Aldercreek Middle School, 13801 SE Webster Rd, Milwaukie, Ore.

Clifford E. Snider, Age 87, born June 29, 1926, died December 07, 2013

Honorary Chief of the Chinook Tribe, retired Clackamas High School teacher and coach and Oregon State University football player passed away after a short illness.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannien Snider; daughter, Jolyn; grandson, Sam; stepchildren, David, Cindy, Spin and Julie; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchil- dren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Aldercreek Middle School in Milwaukie. .
