Charles E. Tyler III

September 5, 2023, Charles E. Tyler III 80, of Vancouver WA, passed away peacefully with his wife Ginger his brothers Jim and Gerald Tyler at his side.

Charles was born in June of 1943 in Oregon City Oregon to Charles Tyler II and Hazel Tyler and the oldest of five siblings and was raised in Mulino Oregon. Charles Graduated from Molalla Union High in 1961. His passions while growing up in Mulino were sports, hunting, fishing and the boy scouts. Notable achievements in scouting were his trips to the National Jamboree, Philmont Scout Ranch and of course his completing his Eagle scout.

Charles and Ginger married June 1964 in Sweet Home Oregon and were married for nearly 60 years. They moved to Coos Bay, Oregon where they raised their daughter Sheryl.

Charles had a career in the forest products industry, and he finished off his working career as a realtor. Durning this time Charles spent 26 years in the Army Reserve and National Guard.

After retirement Charles and Ginger moved to Vancouver Washington to be closer to their grandchildren Kaitlyn and Zachary Wolfe. Charles had many hobbies such as travelling, especially cruises and for years-long trips in their motor home. He was also an avid golfer and of course a boy scout leader. Many of Vancouvers youth were helped on their journey through the scouts including both his grandchildren.

Everyone in the neighborhood will remember Charles for his help on any project that any neighbor needed from fixing fences to working on cars or any general handy man need Charles was always on it. He seemed to have a sixth sense for when a project would start and would always be there to lend a hand.

This does not even remotely sum up the man Charles was he will be greatly missed by all the people he touched over his eighty years.

He is survived by his wife Ginger, his daughter Sheryl, son in law Kevin, grandchildren Kaitlyn and Zachary, his brothers Jim, John, Gerald and Sister Janet.
