Joshua Lee Woolcock

On the morning of Aug. 19, 2011, the unfortunate news of Joshua Lee Woolcock’s death reached his loved ones. The news of Josh’s death was a tragedy for all of his family and friends, who are remembering him as an intelligent and humorous young man who will be dearly missed.

Josh was born July 6, 1987. In 1996 Josh and his sister were welcomed into the Woolcocks’ family as foster children and two years later were adopted on March 12, 1998.

Josh grew up with his family in Beavercreek, Ore. and attended Clarkes Elementary, Molalla Middle School and Molalla High School. Throughout his youth, Josh took part in athletics, including soccer and cycling. In addition, he spent time every summer camping with his family, including his grandparents, aunts, uncles and dozens of cousins.

Later, Josh moved to Portland, Ore. With the help of friends and staff at Outside In, located in Portland, Josh was able to find a new home and job. Before his passing, thanks to the support of Outside In and those who loved him, Josh was able to begin his new life and job.

Josh is survived by countless loving family members and friends, including: parents, Bill and Ginger Woolcock; sister, Kayla Stephenson, her husband, Hallister and son, Levi; brother, Steven Woolcock, his wife, Mindy and children, Mason and Delanie; grandparents, Royal and Lynn Bossen and many other cousins, aunts and uncles.

Although Josh is no longer with his family and friends, they are keeping his spirit alive by remembering his charming sense of humor and his capacity to love.
