Richard Allen McGlasson Date of birth - October 8, 1946 Date of death - February 13, 2026 Richard Allen McGlasson, 79, passed away at legacy Good Samaritan Hospital on Friday, February 13, [2026], from complications due to B Cell Lymphoma. Dick was born in Molalla, OR on October 8, 1946 to Harvey and Eleanor McGlasson. He graduated from Molalla High School in 1964. He went to college to become an architect but realized it was not profitable at that time. He went to work for Crawford Logging and then Earl Buche Logging. After many years of driving log truck, he eventually switched to driving dump truck for Molalla Redi Mix. He loved driving truck almost as much as he loved to build. He designed and built his first house off of Toliver road by Molalla Elementary. Dick was proud to call Molalla his home for his entire life. There were many that knew him and if they didn't he spoke to them as if he did. He knew no strangers. He would strike up conversation with anyone. Most people will remember him sitting on his front porch "counting the cars." Anyone that honked at him he would wave no matter what. His home was always a gathering place on the 4th of July and everyone knew they would be welcomed with a smile. He was preceded in death by many friends and family members but the one he looked forward to reuniting with the most was his daughter Holly Ann McGlasson who passed away at the age 10 from leukemia. He is survived by his long time girlfriend Patti Stutz, 2 A celebration of life will be held on May 17 at Clark Park in Molalla, OR. at 2pm. It won't be a traditional service but more of an open house for people to gather and remember Dick and to share all the great memories that people have had with him. |
