Born on December 14, 1947, in Oregon City, Oregon, Robert spent the majority of his life in Molalla before settling in Canby for the past 25 years. He was the son of Henry and Thelma Rath and grew up with his siblings Susan, Don, and Trudy. Following his graduation from high school, Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably during the Vietnam War. His time in the military shaped his quiet discipline and deep sense of duty---values he carried with him throughout his life. After his service, Robert built a career as a professional truck driver. Known for his strong work ethic and dependability, he spent decades on the road while also taking great pride in the home and life he built with his family. He found purpose in the simple things---working around the house, helping others, and giving generously without expecting anything in return. He is survived by his wife, Pam; his children, Scott, Amy, Marie, and David; his stepdaughter, Jessica; Though life brought its share of complexities, Robert's loyalty, humility, and quiet strength left a lasting impact on all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held on May 24, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Molalla Grange. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring his life and service.
